It might only be halfway through August but this is around the time I start thinking about Halloween, it’s my favourite time of year for crafting and I always have so much inspiration.
I shared my ‘Cat Bat in a Pumpkin’ on Instagram the other day followed by this Frankenstein wall hanging which a few of you said you would like the chart for, so here it is!
It’s a pretty simple chart to follow, if you didn’t want to make a wall hanging then you could always use it for a pillowcase or make lots and turn it into a blanket!
Here is the downloadable chart…
I would love to see your creations so feel free to tag me in them on Instagram (@discoslothdesigns) or use the hashtag #discoslothdesigns.
I attached the wooden dowel using a double crochet (UK term) then chain stitched back to the start before joining. I do sometimes use a needle to attach it though and just go around a couple of times every few stitches. It’s just down to whichever method you prefer.
I used acrylic DK yarn with a 3.5 mm hook but you can use any thickness of yarn you like (and the hook to match). Also you can use cotton or any other type of yarn you prefer. Obviously the thicker the yarn, the larger the square will be.
