I’ve got three new charts for my C2C winter blanket CAL, one is a double sized so it counts as two. There is a fox, a window looking out at snow and a 2020. I thought it would be nice to have the year on there so you have a record of when you made it and if it lasts for many decades then it will become a real talking point. As in, ‘check out this blanket granny made 60 years ago in 2020, can imagine what life was like back then!’
I am using acrylic DK yarn with a 3.5 mm hook but you can use any thickness of yarn you like (and the hook to match). Also you can use cotton or any other type of yarn you prefer. Obviously the thicker the yarn, the larger the square will be.
If you don’t want to make a blanket then any of these designs can be used for smaller projects like wall hangings or cushion covers. Or someone tagged me in a post on Instagram this week of some dishcloths they had made, great idea!
If you are joining in and sharing on Instagram then don’t forget to tag me @discoslothdesigns and use the hashtag #c2cwinterblanketcal so I can see your work.
Here is the fox chart..
The window scene..
The 2020 banner.. I will have to add an alternative to this as after this year it will no longer be relevant.
