So it’s week 5 of my summer blanket crochet along and I’ve decided to make the finished size 5 x 5 so we only have 5 more squares to go, which means next week will be the final week of making squares.
I really love this week’s designs, they consist of a flower, a rainbow, a turtle and a burger.
If you don’t want to make a blanket then any of these designs can be used for smaller projects like wall hangings or cushion covers. Or someone tagged me in a post on Instagram this week of some dishcloths they had made, great idea!
I am using acrylic DK yarn with a 3.5 mm hook but you can use any thickness of yarn you like (and the hook to match). Also you can use cotton or any other type of yarn you prefer. Obviously the thicker the yarn, the larger the square will be.
If you are joining in and sharing on Instagram then don’t forget to tag me @discoslothdesigns and use the hashtag #c2csummerblanketcal so I can see your work.
Here is the chart for the rainbow…
Here is the chart for the flower…
Here is the chart for the burger… I did the ketchup pink as I’m not a huge fan of red but it’s red in the chart because it’s more obvious what it is that way!
Here is the chart for the turtle..
